Peachy-Keen Grilled Peaches

Grilled peaches are just as beautiful as they are delicious and can be used to add color and flavor to salads, side dishes, desserts and appetizers. Let your imagination fly. For a great dessert serve with ice cream or any variety of toppings and sauces. For a delicious salad, top peaches with crumbled goat cheese, chopped nuts and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Let your imagination fly.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh peaches ripe but firm
  • Olive or canola oil
  • Optional:
  • Brown sugar
  • Citrus zest your favorite
  • Honey goat cheese crumbles
  • Chopped nuts
  • Balsamic vinegar any flavor
  • Ice cream
  • Mascarpone cream whipped
  • Heavy cream whipped
  • Dessert sauces i.e. caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry peaches, set aside until heat source is ready.
  2. Oil the griddle or grill with canola oil.
  3. Cut peaches in half or into 1/4" slices, remove pits.
  4. Brush peach halves with oil and place flesh side down until fruit is warm and griddle marks develop. Turn fruit over and cook long enough to get griddle marks, but don’t let the fruit get mushy.
  5. Remove from heat and serve as is or with a topping of your choice.
