Chef Sarah Bradshay



Sarah Bradshay, Executive Chef for Simply Sated Catering, is a gifted chef who is brimming with creative ideas for showcasing local Northwest ingredients. Working with the freshest, highest quality ingredients available, Sarah transforms local ingredients into edible works of art that are not only beautiful to behold, but are packed with creative flavors and textures.

Sarah was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest in an area known for abundant wild game and for making the most of local ingredients. Her father is a butcher who took Sarah along on his fishing trips from the time she was a small child. Back home, she helped her father package deer, elk, and moose meat. Sarah learned how to cure jerky and smoke local trout and salmon from her grandfather. Sarah's mother was a homemaker until she entered high school, and it was at her mother's side that Sarah learned to create delicious, comforting fare - techniques she still utilizes in her own kitchen today.

Sarah created her own catering company out of her deep love for food and it's joy-bringing capacities. Six years of work in the demanding culinary field did not dampen her enthusiasm, but rather created an even greater drive to learn and grow. Determined to become a chef, she moved to Portland and enrolled in Oregon Culinary Institute. Part of her culinary training included an internship at Carafe Restaurant – a highly regarded Parisian bistro restaurant in Portland, owned and operated by Portland Iron Chef Pascal Sauton. While working at Carafe, Sarah developed a great appreciation and talent for working with the highest quality seasonal products available.

Following her internship at Carafe, Sarah again turned to her first love - catering. Sarah is an outgoing, dedicated chef, whose goal in cooking is to have every bite her customers taste make them exclaim "Wow!" She achieves the "Wow-factor" daily and has a unique ability to make her clients feel completely comfortable and pampered. Sarah's devotion to quality, her creativity and her ability to always get the job done work together to create a spectacular chef that we are proud to call our own.
